We are BACK at Tia Chucha's!
Hello LA Poet Society! We are so excited to announce our first event back at Tia Chucha's Centro Cultural and Bookstore!
Friday, December 10, from 6-9pm PST, we will be celebrating UNSTOPPABLE WRITERS OF 2020!
This is a showcase of 4 amazing BIPOC (Black Indigenous People of Color), who published new books during 2020. We want to celebrate their achievement and resilience as an artist during these hard times.
We will be hearing a reading and be in conversation with Poets:
- Jessica Villegas
- Juan Cardenas
- Thelma Reyna
- Lisbeth Coiman
Each Author will have up to 20 minutes to share an excerpt, and be in conversation with host, Jessica M. Wilson.
We will have an Open Mic for the People, if anyone would like to share. 4 minutes/person
Plus, enjoy cake from the LA Poet Society, celebrating 12 years of service!
We will be in community for the first time again, in Tia Chucha's new space:
