What is artivism?
​
Artivism is a joining between being an artist and being an activist. It is using your art as a means of taking action for a larger social, economic, environmental, or political purpose.
Artivism puts the power in the hands of the people and builds awareness, creates unity, and helps empower us all, showing us that our voices can amplify change.
The LA Poet Society participates in
100 Thousand Poets for Change - a 9 year old global movement of solidarity, peace, justice, and change in our communities. We also participate in Lit Crawl LA, arts festivals, and justice movements.
